OUR STORY
Robert Peña is the founder and roaster behind Roma Coffee, a specialty coffee company born out of a deep love for craft, community, and quality. With years of hands-on roasting experience and a passion for Italian-style espresso, Robert has dedicated himself to bringing out the unique character of every bean while honoring the timeless traditions of coffee.
Before stepping into the world of coffee, Robert served in the military as an Airborne Ranger, where discipline, attention to detail, and resilience became second nature. Those same qualities now shape his approach to coffee roasting and hospitality — every roast is carefully profiled, every cup served with purpose, and every guest treated like family. Robert further enhanced his love for business entrepreneurship while attending the University of Southern California in their Masters of Business for Veterans program.
Robert’s vision for Roma Coffee is simple: to create a space where craftsmanship meets comfort. Whether it’s the bold richness of his espresso blend or the bright, nuanced notes of a single-origin pour-over, each cup is roasted and brewed to showcase the very best of what coffee can be.
When he’s not behind the roaster or working on perfecting espresso shots, Robert is developing Roma Coffee’s mobile cart and café, bringing great coffee directly to the community. His mission is to ensure that every customer leaves not just with a drink, but with a memorable experience — the kind of warmth and connection that only great coffee can inspire.
